Applying for a visa card, mastercard
or any other credit card can be a frustrating task especially
if you have some kind of bad credit hanging over you.
Each time you apply for a credit card your rating is
checked by the organisation that you have applied to,
to find out what your credit rating is like by way of
credit scoring, the credit card companies would normally
use third party credit reference agencies such as Equifax
or Experian.
Many people have entered a period where their credit
rating has suffered as a result of outstanding debt,
County Court Judgements (CCJs), or simply bills not
being paid on time.
If you have been refused credit cards in the past this
could be a reason.
Some credit card providers now offer credit
cards for people with poor credit history.
Generally these credit cards have higher Annual Percentage
Rates (APRs) than standard rate credit cards and you
will in general pay more interest on any money owed.
Paying off your balances when they are due will help
to rebuild your credit history. And will stop charges
being incurred as a result of penalties. |
